Pug Plays Guide to Homeless Blind Dog Friend

Two homeless pugs have proven a challenge to kennel workers in the UK, who are looking for homes for them. Typically, strays found wandering together are given to adopting families separately without issue. For Franky and Elly, however, splitting the pair up would be downright heartbreaking.

Franky & Elly

Elly, the white pug on the right, is blind, and her homeless friend Franky has not only been her loving companion for years, but also her eyes. From literally taking Elly on walks, then lovingly nudging her in the direction of food or water, Franky has, without complaint, served as Elly’s personal guide dog.

Dog lovers living in the vicinity of Newport, South Wales, who are interested in providing food, love and shelter over the cold winter to both Franky and Elly, can contact the manager of the RSPCA centre. The rest of us can simply learn from these adorable animals’ sense of responsibility and love for each other.
